About me
Shaina Aidan is a co-founder of Liminal Space Pictures LLC and a Los Angeles–based writer and director whose work explores the intersection of technology, horror, and human fragility. Her debut feature, Near Death, blends psychological tension with modern themes, asking urgent questions about mortality, mental health, and society’s growing hyper-reliance on technology. She cites films like Creep, Watcher, and The Shining as key influences on her approach to building tension through human vulnerability. She is a graduate of the UCLA Professional Program in Feature Writing and T.V. Writing. She also has two Advanced Feature Writing Certificates from the UCLA Professional Program. Outside of filmmaking, Shaina is an adoption coordinator at Roadogs Rescue, a runner (she’s running the New York City Marathon 2026), and an avid gamer drawn to horror, mystery, and indie titles such as The Stanley Parable, Exit 8, and Who’s at the Door. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and her beloved disabled pup, Lucy, whose resilience inspires both personally and artistically.
